Education and Credentials

David is an intellectual property attorney with a strong foundation in both law and science. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2019, where he also obtained a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. During law school, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Practice, recognizing his top performance in the subject. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida.

Legal Career

David began his legal career as a criminal prosecutor in Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit, where he handled hundreds of diverse cases—from misdemeanors to serious felonies—and took many cases to trial, securing numerous favorable verdicts. After leaving public service, David joined a boutique law firm in Orlando specializing in intellectual property law, where he gained years of hands-on experience in trademark, copyright, and patent matters.

Today, David’s practice focuses on trademark prosecution and litigation, copyright prosecution and litigation, and patent litigation. He offers strategic and results-driven representation to clients seeking to protect and enforce their intellectual property rights.

Community Involvement

The son of Chinese immigrants, David is proud of his heritage and speaks Cantonese Chinese. Based in Orlando, he is an active member of the legal community. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, where he formerly served as Chair of the Intellectual Property Committee. He is also a past president of the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association.

David is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.
